That's my story, anyway!
While creative, my wedding lacked the professional direction needed to ensure the experience of the day was as lovely as everything looked. Which is why, since receiving my planning certification 10 years ago, I've poured all of my energy into providing exactly that for every Lenai Events couple.
I’m blessed to be a wife, the mother of two beautiful children navigating the world through the lens of neurodiversity, and the leader of our incredible team at Lenai Events. My promise: Under our guidance, you and your guests will feel the love in the room while enjoying a party you’ll never forget.

As an event planner and designer, that’s always been my “why”—and it always will be.
Ever wondered what it would be like to have your own personal assistant?
Meet Kyilea—the detail-oriented best friend of every Lenai Events bride.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Kyilea honed her passion for the arts as a Vocal major at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School—yes, the one and only “Fame School!”—before moving to The Holy City to attend Charleston Southern University. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree from Webster University and join the illustrious Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
As a mother to twin boys, faith and family are the driving forces behind everything Kyilea does—but an occasional Tropical Smoothie with an energizer shot helps, too. Equipped with a true servant’s heart, she finds joy in helping our couples achieve their vision with ease and efficiency. And if the DJ happens to play Killing Me Softly by The Fugees at your reception, don’t be surprised to find her singing along!

There’s no place like Charleston.
I was raised in Charleston, and have no plans of ever leaving! Sunny days at the beach. Cobblestone streets brimming with history and colored with culture. Boutique galleries and THE BEST restaurants. There’s nothing I love more! If you’ve never been to The Holy City before, prepare to experience love at first sight.

If the Christmas tree isn’t up by Halloween, it’s late.
In my house, the following statement is a fact that just can’t be argued: Christmas is a 60-day celebration. It’s the best part of the year! Why not experience the joy for as long as possible?

Brunch o’clock is the best hour of the day.
Especially if the menu includes chicken and waffles. My friends know that I will always opt for brunch over dinner or cocktails. Besides, I’m usually in bed by 9 o’clock.

Whoever said orange is the new pink, was seriously disturbed.
Elle Woods said it best! Pink is my favorite color—I’m giddy every time I get to pull it into an event color palette.

Sweet tea over Starbucks.
Around here, espresso is a no-go. Maybe it’s the Charlestonian in me, but when I need a pick-me-up to power the wedding planning process, I always reach for a glass of sweet tea.
